Our Planning Process

We have developed a seven stage financial planning process, which is intended to provide clients with the framework and strategy needed to make the best possible use of their financial resources and to help them to achieve, where possible, their financial objectives.

The seven stages of the process are as follows:

1. Initial Meeting
We offer an initial meeting with no cost or obligation to the client.

2. Data Gathering
If the client then instructs us to act for them, we will obtain all the background information we need about their financial affairs.

3. Analysing the Data
Once we have gathered the information we are able to begin forming an opinion on the suitability of a client’s existing arrangements.

4. Written Report
Once we have compiled all the information, we will prepare a highly personalised strategic financial plan, based upon the client’s objectives.

5. Discussion Meeting
Most clients prefer to meet us again to discuss our recommendations and to have us answer any remaining questions.

6. Implementation
Once the client has agreed a recommendation we will oversee the implementation of the strategic financial plan, which will include:

  • Preparing all the necessary paperwork.
  • Arranging medical and financial underwriting, if appropriate.
  • Liaising with contacts and other advisers.
  • Checking and issuing documentation.

We will control this process and minimise disruption and inconvenience to the client, by eliminating the need for the client to contact other organisations, or to have to deal with their processes.

7. Ongoing Service
It is extremely important to ensure that the strategy we have implemented continues to be appropriate. We therefore believe it is imperative that we undertake a proactive review process, which provides the client with an ongoing service.

We would normally expect to complete all seven stages in our process. However, we have designed it to be incremental so that a client can instruct us to complete only the stages that they deem appropriate.
